Starflow and Cusack make it three on the bounce The Henry de Bromhead-trained Starflow (5/1) made it a hat-trick of victories under talented apprentice Conor Cusack in the Boylesports Handicap (0-60) contest at Thurles Racecourse. The son of Starman was happy to track the pace throughout the contest, sitting third, and when urged on by his rider Cusack, he picked up immediately and kept on well to fend off the onrushing Cause I Like You and The Blue Panther by a length-and three-quarter and half-a-length. Speaking after the race, the winning rider Cusack said: "It is lovely to get on a horse like this so early in my career and today was probably his best performance. "There was a strong pace early on which took a while to settle down and actually didn't handle the track either. He ran off the bend and then came in, but he had been winning on more galloping tracks. He is starting to enjoy racing now. "I'll be riding in Dundalk this winter and Kevin O'Ryan is doing a great job as my agent. I'll be going up there with a closed-mouth, ears-open attitude and am hoping to pick up as many rides as I can." (Quotes from Tom Weekes)
