Step Back In Time won her fourth race at the track when keeping on strongly under Colin Keane to land the Book Your Discounted Tickets On NavanRacecourse.ie Handicap at Navan.

A real course specialist, whose only three previous career wins came here, the Chris Timmons trained mare was always prominent under Keane.

Pushed along over two furlongs out, the 8/1 chance came through to head Browned Off at the furlong pole, before keeping on well to hold the late run of Gimmieminnie by half-a-length.

Recording his second winner of the afternoon, Colin Keane reached the 80 mark for the season and, in doing so, closed the gap on Dylan Browne McMonagle at the head of the jockeys championship to six.

Chris Timmons said: "She really enjoys it here - I don't know what it is, I think maybe going down into the dip she can take a breath.

"I was hopeful, I wasn't confident to be honest. She was on the go a while and it is getting late in the year for a filly. We had to clip her the other day, her coat was gone.

"She was flying going to Cork and I think she just came into season going down there. I wasn't too worried about that run, I think there was an excuse.

"The grey filly (Platino Bianco), it was her last-chance saloon. She has always worked well. She travelled very sweetly, so she will get another chance.

"There is (another race for her in Navan) - there is a '60' sprint and an '80' sprint, so hopefully we get another day with the two of them.

"Step Back in Time, we might try her once (in Dundalk). She is actually rated lower on the all-weather."
