Storming has Voltigeur target

Storming Home, a three-length fourth behind Galileo in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond stakes at Ascot last time, is on course to run at York`s Ebor meeting, it was revealed today.

Trainer Barry Hills is aiming the colt at the Great Voltigeur Stakes on Tuesday week.

Joe Mercer, racing manager to owner Maktoum Al Maktoum, said: 'He`ll very possibly go for the Voltigeur.'

Explaining the decision to head for York, Mercer added: 'The horse is very well and he (Hills) is very happy with him.

'The Voltigeur is nearly a fortnight away so we`ll just play it by ear and see how he comes on.

'Otherwise the choice was that he would have to wait until September for a race in France so the Voltigeur was the obvious race to go for.

'He has come out of his race very well.'
