Straight to Royal Ascot for Mukhadram Mukhadram looks set to head straight for Royal Ascot after the weather scuppered hopes of having a prep run for the Prince Of Wales's Stakes. The William Haggas-trained five-year-old was narrowly beaten by Al Kazeem in the race last June and was also placed in the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown during an excellent campaign. He ran a superb race to fill the runner-up spot in the Dubai World Cup at the end of March and connections were keen for him to return to European action before heading back to Berkshire. But with the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh and the Brigadier Gerard at Sandown ruled out on account of testing ground, Angus Gold, racing manager for owner Hamdan Al Maktoum, admits options are running out. Gold said: "We're hoping for some dry weather. "It's very frustrating, but a lot of people are in the same boat. "The horse is in great shape, as far as I know, so I would imagine he will go straight to Royal Ascot now. I don't think there's anything else for him. "He certainly won't be going to Epsom for the Coronation Cup (next week)."
