Strong Suit a Curragh possible

Richard Hannon junior has not ruled out the possibility of Strong Suit taking in both the Prix Morny and the Phoenix Stakes in August.

The exciting juvenile got up in the final stride to land the Coventry Stakes after meeting trouble in running.

His options now are the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh on August 8 or Deauville's Prix Morny on August 22 - or both.

"It's a toss-up between the Prix Morny and the Group One in Ireland, the Phoenix, but there's a chance you could do two," said Hannon, assistant trainer to his father, Richard.

"There's two weeks between them and he hasn't had too much racing so far.

"He looks to be exceptional. Every time you read about a good race it seems to mention that Newbury maiden he won.

"He looks like he could be special and he might replace one of the older ones if they go off to stud, you never know," he told At The Races.
