Sublimity Team Wary Of Katchit Threat

John Carr, trainer of Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle winner Sublimity, believes Katchit will be a tough rival at the Cheltenham Festival next March.

The County Kildare trainer greatly admires Alan King's new kid on the block, who took the Triumph Hurdle last season.

'I saw Katchit win on the TV at Liverpool the other day. You have to say he has to be feared. He's a good horse, he's got plenty of guts and you'd have to fancy him quite strongly,' he said.

Carr is stepping up Sublimity's work and hopes to take the wraps off in the boylesports.com International Hurdle at Cheltenham on December 15.

'We'll take him away from home next Tuesday, maybe to the Curragh ? he'll be going somewhere,' said Carr.

'All's going well now and the Boylesports is within reach. After that it will probably be the AIG at Leopardstown at the end of January.

'That will give him six weeks before the Champion Hurdle. I'd say he'd have no more than two races before the Champion,' he told At The Races.
