Sunline back on winning track

New Zealand champion Sunline, second on her seasonal debut, regained the winning habit in the Group Two Memsie Stakes over seven furlongs at rain-sodden Caulfield on Saturday.

Beaten by Piavonic in the Manikato Stakes on her return, Sunline turned the tables on that rival by a length and a half.

Undefeated in nine attempts at the trip, Sunline was ridden by her regular partner Greg Childs, who said: 'She is not as bouncy but she is just as good.'

Successful in this race last year, Sunline`s next target is the John F Feehan Stakes at Moonee Valley on September 15th.

The dual-Australian Horse of the Year is due to run at Moonee Valley on October 27th, when she will be out to gain a third successive Cox Plate win.
