Sunriseontheboyne asserted in the closing stages to gain a second course and distance win at Dundalk this evening.

They were stretched across the track passing the furlong pole in the three-year-old handicap but it was the Mick Mulvany-trained gelding who proved strongest late on.

The Cotai Glory gelding was nicely on top in the closing stages as he recorded a length success over Amber Blossom

13/2 shot Sunriseontheboyne had also won here back in November.

Winning rider Wesley Joyce said:- "He came on from the last run.

"He's going to keep improving. He's probably going to be better the further he goes.

"He's good and he's honest, and that's all you want in a horse.”
