Sunshine scores up north

Colin Bowe’s Lets Go Sunshine made the long trip up for Co Wexford a worthwhile one when winning the Proctor & Gamble Maiden Hurdle at Downpatrick today.

Ridden by amateur jockey Barry O’Neill, the son of Sunshine Street moved to the front from four out before eventually staying on for a nine lengths win over Golan Guy

Last season’s Point to Point Champion Handler Bowe was not present for the win but O’Neill did briefly state “Lets Go Sunshine relishes a stamina test and jumps great – he never stops galloping.”
