Swan Band got off the mark at the fourth attempt at Dundalk today, landing the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Maiden for trainer Eddie Lynam, jockey Chris Hayes and owners Clipper Logistics Group Ltd.

Runner-up on a course and distance run on December 1, the Awtaad-sired filly readily defeated runner-up Oriental Dancer to become the third winner - from today's opening three races, to score at odds of 9/4.

Trainer Lynam said "it was good to get another winner in those colours as they have been very good to me.

"It was good to get her to win and I like her but she is a big, raw filly. I was a little bit disappointed the last day but she is just coming to herself.

"I think Awtaad (standing at €5,000) is great value — he and Gleneagles (€17,500) are two sires I think are very good value."
