On Eagles Wings proved game in front as he repelled his challengers down the straight to win the concluding bumper at Limerick for Timmy Hyde.

Harry Swan gave the Flemensfirth gelding a well judged ride from the front and his mount responded well when tackled early in the straight. One Down and Stattler challenged on either side but On Eagles Wings found plenty for pressure.

The 13/8 shot kept on strongly inside the final furlong to record a length-and-three-quarters success over 8/11 shot Stattler.

The winner had chased home Cheltenham bumper winner Ferny Hollow at Fairyhouse on his previous outing.

Hyde said afterwards:- "It just shows you how good that horse who won in Cheltenham is.

"He likes soft ground and will be a nice horse to go jumping. I don't think he'll run again in a bumper and will probably go jumping next season, he jumps really well."
