Racing tipster Ron Dawson and his former accountant were yesterday jailed after being found guilty of conspiring to defraud thousands of shareholders in a bloodstock company.

Dawson (62) was imprisoned for 12 months and accountant Andrew Irish (48) was sentenced to 15 months by a judge at Basildon Crown Court in Essex.
