TIUTCHEV ODDS CONTINUE TO TUMBLE Tiutchev continues to attract support for Saturday`s Victor Chandler Chase at Ascot. Nicky Henderson`s charge has been clipped to 7-2 from 4-1 for the £60,000 contest by William Hill, who also cut the gelding a point to 7-1 for the Queen Mother Champion Chase. The Leeds firm have also trimmed the Martin Pipe-trained Exit Swinger to 9-1 from 10-1 for the Victor Chandler. The gelding, second to stablemate Lady Cricket in the Thomas Pink Gold Cup in November, is one of two Nicholashayne entries in the race along with Carlovent. Pipe said: 'We are likely to run both of them but as far as riding arrangements are concerned nothing has been decided yet.' An 11th-hour decision will be made on whether Venetia Williams, trainer of Davoski and last year`s winner Nordance Prince, will also be double-handed. Miss Williams told the Racing Channel: 'I have to admit it`s going to be a late decision on Nordance Prince`s participation. Davoski will probably be running.' The going continues to dry out on the chase course at Ascot and is now described as good to soft. Clerk of the course Nick Cheyne said: 'We have had six dry days and it is forecast to be dry and cold tomorrow going into Saturday. 'However, the frost is not forecast to be too severe. 'Prospects are very good and have have no worries at the moment.'
