James Tate could switch targets with Invincible Army and aim at the Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes at the Curragh.

The Newmarket handler has identified the Group Two prize on May 25 as a potential back-up plan for the four-year-old, should the ground not be suitable in the Duke of York Clipper Logistics Stakes at York earlier in the month.

Invincible Army made an impressive return to action when running out a decisive winner of a Listed event at Doncaster on the opening day of the British turf season.

Tate said: “The plan is to go for the Group Two at York, ground permitting, as he wouldn’t want it too quick.

“If for some reason it was too quick, he would go for the Greenlands at the Curragh 10 days later.”
