Taunton Off Today's fixture at Taunton has been abandoned due to a frozen track. With overnight temperatures having dipped to minus 1.8C, clerk of the course Michael Trickey was left with no choice but to draw stumps after two morning inspections. Although Trickey was confident earlier in the day, temperatures have failed to show any measurable improvement. "It was supposed to be plus 4C by now but we've only risen one degree since daybreak," said Trickey. "It's just too frosty so we've had to abandon."
