Tauton gets the go ahead Racing at Taunton goes ahead this afternoon with the course reportedly raceable under frost covers. Freezing overnight temperatures had been a concern for officials, with a precautionary inspection announced on Monday for raceday morning. The track wrote on its website: "The entire course was covered over the weekend and we are raceable today." The course added: "5mm of rain recorded on Friday with 2mm on Saturday. As low as -3.4 on Monday night and -4.1 last night and the course has taken the frost well. "Forecast for a lovely sunny day with temps reaching a high of 7C." Feature contest on the seven-race card is the Listed totepool Betting On All UK Racing Mares' Novices´ Hurdle at 3.00.
