Custom Taylor justified his short price with the minimum of fuss in the John Buckley Engineering Ltd. Maiden Hurdle at Limerick.

The Declan Queally-trained gelding went to post 4/9 favourite in the three-miler and bounced out in front under Kevin Sexton.

He had his rivals at work before the turn and scooted clear before the second last.

Sexton could afford to ease up on the run to the line as the Malinas gelding posted a four-length success over Nytol

"I had a sit on him last week and was confident he'd do the job today. He was very straightforward,” said Sexton.

"Declan told me to drop my hands and go a nice gallop, as all he does is stay."
