Tell The Boys makes up for Wexford exit Having looked in with every chance when unseating at Wexford last time, the Declan Queally trained Tell The Boys gained compensation when landing the Connolly's RED MILLS Irish EBF Auction & Median Maiden Hurdle at Listowel. Leading after the first flight, jockey Kevin Healy made the rest of the running on the Money For Jam Syndicate owned 7/4f. Asserting after three out, the filly kept on well from the penultimate flight, always holding the late run of Coolishael to score by a length. Declan Queally Junior said: "When things didn't work out for her at Wexford the last day, we said we'd plan to come here and everything went smoothly. She took her work well, we schooled her and she was nicely weighted today with all the allowances for being a four-year-old, a filly and a cheap-purchase, along with Kevin's 7lb claim. "She is funny as she is always in sixth gear when you'd prefer her to be in fifth, but this course suited her and Kevin knows her. She only barely gets two miles so I told Kevin to slow her down whenever he could, and to let her breathe. "She only cost €1,000 and these auction races are great, as she has picked up the bones of €18,000 including bonuses today.
