There was drama in Downpatrick as Tellthemnuttin was disqualified after winning the two mile six handicap hurdle when her jockey Dylan Robinson was adjudged to have caused interference by riding dangerously.

The incident occurred on the final bend when Tellthemnuttin made contact with Fiddle The Till when challenging between her and the rail.

Tellthemnuttin, the 9/4 favourite, had stayed on well up the hill after this incident to post a victory by a length and three parts but lost the race in the stewards' room when disqualified.

The runner-up Quelle Belle Vie who was popular in the betting ring from 8/1 to 6/1 was promoted to first place for trainer Paul Fahey and jockey Paddy Kennedy. Shabra's Bertolini (6/1) and The Informer (9/2) were promoted to second and third respectively.

Robinson was hit with a 10-day ban for his ride on the disqualified Tellthemnuttin and also had to forfeit his riding fee. The stewards' report is below.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference on the final bend involving Tellthemnuttin, ridden by D. Robinson, placed first, Quelle Belle Vie (FR), ridden by P.D. Kennedy, placed second and Fiddle The Till, ridden by A. Ring, placed fifth, where it appeared Tellthemnuttin made contact with Fiddle The Till when challenging between her and the inside rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that D. Robinson had caused interference by riding dangerously and therefore in accordance with the provisions of Rule 214(i)(a) Tellthemnuttin, placed first, was disqualified. The amended result now reads; Quelle Belle Vie (FR) placed first, Shabra's Bertolini placed second, The Informer, placed third, Fiddle The Till placed fourth and Authorized Cadeaux placed fifth. The Stewards suspended D. Robinson for 10 race days and ordered him to forfeit his riding fee.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference close to the finish involving The Informer, ridden by D.N. Russell, placed fourth and Quelle Belle Vie (FR), ridden by P.D. Kennedy, placed second, where it appeared that Quelle Belle Vie (FR) drifted towards The Informer. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges' placings and took no further action.
