Ten in line for Betfair Chase glory Silviniaco Conti and Bobs Worth head 10 possible runners for Saturday's Betfair Chase at Haydock Park following the latest confirmation stage. Last year's winner is set to be ridden by Noel Fehily with his former rider Ruby Walsh now based in Ireland, and stable jockey Daryl Jacob due to ride Al Ferof and Zarkandar at Ascot. Paul Nicholls has an interesting second string to his bow with the enigmatic veteran Tidal Bay who has mixed hurdling and chasing to great effect since joining the Ditcheat handler. The 12 year old finished second to Imperial Commander in the 2010 renewal and is set to be ridden again by Sam Twiston-Davies, who partnered him to victory at Wetherby on his seasonal return. David Pipe's Dynaste and Colin Tizzard's Cue Card complete a strong hand for the West Country stables with Pipe telling At The Races that his exciting grey is on track for the race. "Hopefully, all being well, the plan will be to run him in the Betfair. He's in good form and three miles round Haydock should be ideal for him," he said. A winner of four of his five starts over fences last season, the seven-year-old has already bypassed potential engagements at Wetherby and Cheltenham in recent weeks. Nicky Henderson has left in both the reigning Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Bobs Worth as well as former winner Long Run who disappointed on his reappearance at Wetherby. The line-up is completed by Cloudy Too, Roi Du Mee, Prince De Beauchene and The Giant Bolster.
