Terentia Set To Swerve York Ed McMahon has revealed that his rapidly improving filly Terentia is likely to sidestep the William Hill Trophy at York on Saturday. The three-year-old has risen a massive 19lb in the weights for her last two victories at Windsor and Haydock, but McMahon believes taking on the colts at this stage could be asking too much.Terentia had been as low as 11-1 for the ultra-competitive event but Staffordshire handler said: 'I've got her pencilled in for another race at Leicester, a 0-95 event and I'm favouring that at the minute.'With all the hype about the Michael Jarvis horse ? Borehan, and Clive Cox's (Pearly Wey) as well as one or two others, I just think the Leicester race looks the easier option, it's worth nearly #12,000 to the winner.'I wouldn't be keen on giving her a hard race to finish third, fourth or fifth. I haven't had a look at the stats to see what sort of a record fillies have in the race, but I imagine the way people are talking about the Jarvis horse it will take all the beating.'There are a few three-year-olds that are improving rapidly, and we are especially, but when you have improving colts as well they are a little bit harder to beat.'She has gone up 19lb for her last two wins and I think there is still a bit left in the locker but I also think the handicapper has taken away most of our advantage really.'The Leicester race is also over five furlongs which she has done all her winning over, it is an easy six at York but we may as well try to win as many races as we can with her so I think I will plump for Leicester.'The aim is to pick up some black type with her and if she wins easy at Leicester we may say we should have run at York but I think we'll take it steady at this stage rather than sticking her in at the deep end.'?
