Terminal set for Deloitte test Terminal is poised for a significant leap in class following his exemplary hurdling debut at Navan earlier this month. The Willie Mullins-trained five-year-old won three bumpers in his native France, and carried on the good work for his new connections with an effortless round of jumping on January 15th. Terminal could now next run in the Grade One Deloitte Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown on February 12th, before heading to the Cheltenham Festival, where he will have three entries. David Dennis, racing manager for his owners, Favourites Racing, said: "He's obviously got winning French bumper form, but clearly progressed to win a maiden hurdle like that. "It was quite a choppy race - Ruby Walsh said he had to make the running down the back straight, which was not ideal - as they didn't go much of a gallop. "He jumped really well, though, and quickened up nicely. We're keeping our options open with him, but he'll be stepping up in grade now. "Willie said Navan can be quite a testing track so we want to go carefully with him. "The obvious thing to do was to enter him in that race (Deloitte), so it is certainly an option. "At Cheltenham he'll be entered in the Supreme, the SunAlliance (Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle) and the Brit Insurance (Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle). "He jumps really well, and the long-term plan would be to send him chasing."
