The ground at Fairyhouse is currently heavy ahead of their Easter festival which starts on Sunday.

Fresh ground will be in use each of the three days and the ground which they race on has not been used since last year's festival.

The Ladbrokes Irish Grand National will be held on it's traditional date of Easter Monday while Sunday's card features two Grade 1 events in the Powers Gold Cup and the new mares race.

The other traditional Easter fixture is down in Cork and the action kicks off with a Flat card on Saturday, for which the going is currently heavy.

The hurdles track is soft, soft to heavy in places while the chase course is heavy, soft to heavy in places.
