The Great Nudie put in a fine round of jumping when making all under Sean Flanagan in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase at Naas.

The Colin Bowe-trained mare, previously successful between the flags and also twice over hurdles, was pressed in the straight but found plenty under pressure on the run-in.

The 100/30 chance kept on strongly to beat Magic McColgan by 12 lengths with Honey Come Quick a further three and a half lengths back in third.

Flanagan said, “She is as game as a pebble, not very big but has a massive heart.

“I thought she was a bit flat the last day and then she stayed on well towards the finish.

“Jumping was the name of the game today. She is a very good jumper of a fence and is back fresh and well today.”
