Tony McCoy looked through his legs before the last as he seemed to have plenty of horse underneath him and he would've seen Ruby Walsh pulling up Sanctuaire who almost refused to race at the start. However, a tardy leap at the final flight - typical of Clerk's Choice's jumping throughout the contest - allowed The Jigsaw Man momentum climbing the hill and he stuck on gamely for a one-and-three-quarter-length success.
