The New One could be Ayr-bound Nigel Twiston-Davies is contemplating sending The New One on a recovery mission to Ayr for a shot at the Scottish Champion Hurdle. The eight-year-old fell for the first time in his career on Thursday when coming down at the fifth flight in the Aintree Hurdle. After reporting the 16-times race winner to be unscathed following his mid-race tumble, the Naunton handler could take his stable star north of the border for the Grade Two event on Saturday week. Twiston-Davies said: "The New One is 100 per cent fine. It was just one of those things that happen in racing. "He didn't have a hard race at Aintree. It is not it for the season, as we may go to Ayr next week for the Scottish Champion Hurdle."
