The Rite Article kept finding for James O'Sullivan as the pair repelled the challengers in Bellewstown's three mile handicap hurdle.

He was always prominent and was ridden into the lead by Sullivan after they negotiated the third last. Some Drama got on terms at the second last but was a length in arrears jumping the last. Batchelors Walk closed on the inside and Theydon Park finished well on the outside but The Rite Article gamely kept at it and refused to yield.

He delivered at 9/1 landing a touch from 16/1. Theydon Park was half a length behind at 4/1 with Batchelors Walk another length and a half back in third at 25/1. Some Drama took fourth at 33/1 in this 16-runner handicap.

“I was hoping that he'd improve on his last few runs, he wasn't beaten that far. The horses have been in good form lately so it rubbed off on him and he won another one,” trainer Jarlath Fahey said.

“He's nine years of age and he does his job around the yard and he pays his way. He's owned by my wife Suzanne so it's great to get another winner.

“It was a great finish and that's the way he does it, he battles and battles. He keeps his head down and stays.

“He's a lovable horse for that reason as he just tries and tries the whole time for you. He's a good schoolmaster and everything at home.”

Fahey has certainly hit form as this was his third winner from his last five runners.
