The market suggested that Theatre (2/1 in a place this morning into 4/9) was a certainty for the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund (C & G) Maiden and he came on a ton from his debut seventh to rout the opposition under Joseph O'Brien at Leopardstown.

O'Brien made all on the Galileo youngster, whose dam Rumplestiltskin was a dual Group 1 heroine. He left his six opponents for dead from a furlong and a half out to score by an impressive six and a half lengths. In the face of the avalanche of money for Theatre, the rest were easy-to-back with Dermot Weld's Mouteab (7s this morning out to 22s) keeping on to take a moderate second placing.

Joseph O'Brien said: "He came on plenty from the first day and if he comes out of this well you could look at something like the Chesham for him.

"He did it nicely today." (GC & EM)
