Thorne and Kearney draw again as Crayons In The Sky wins at Dundalk Jack Kearney rode his first winner since losing his claim earlier this month when taking the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction Maiden on the Stephen Thorne-trained Crayons In The Sky at Dundalk this afternoon. Owned in partnership by Daniel Kreith and Shamrock Thoroughbreds, the 86-rated two-year-old was sent off a 1/2 favourite and scored cosily from the David Marnane-trained 7/2 chance Normanton. There was a length and a half between the market leaders at the line with one and a quarter lengths back to 17/2 chance Belle Parvenue in third place. Jack Kearney said: "That's job done now for a filly. “She had been running well all summer, and just competitive Irish racing, and she was always bumping into one. She has finished behind some very talented horses. “Today looked an ideal race to get her off the mark. She has done it well without getting serious. I never had to get aggressive with her and it should give her a good experience, and she should come on for it. “Six (furlongs) is spot on. I think she will get seven, but for the moment six is fine.” Additional reporting from Michael Graham
