Three Irish winners at Hexham

A strong Irish raiding party won three races at Hexham this afternoon, with Jimmy Lambe saddling a double via City Of Doral and Storm Breaker and Gordon Elliott also getting on the scoresheet with Atlanta Falcon.

Lambe first struck with City Of Doral (8/1) in the 3m1f handicap chase as Brian Hughes' mount just held the strong late challenge of the Elliott-trained 7/4 favourite St Killian's Run by a head.

Hughes was also on board the patiently-ridden 7/4 favourite Storm Breaker in the 2m4f novice hurdle while Elliott, who also filled the runner-up berth with Priors Gold in the opening 2m novice hurdle, went one better in the bumper with Atlanta Falcon.

The 2/5 favourite was in a different league to his six rivals, cruising home 21 lengths clear under Jason Maguire.
