After handicap hurdle winners at Ballinrobe and Wexford, trainer Philip Rothwell made it three winners in three days when Larkins Lane (16s this morning, SP 13/2) swooped late to land division of Limerick's Irish Wire Products Ltd. Handicap Hurdle over two and a-half miles.

Unplaced in ten previous outings, the Dylan Thomas mare came from off the pace and moved into contention between the final two flights. Ballinagaine Girl who had raced wide throughout, was in front when making a costly mistake at the last and Larkins Lane got by her on the run-in to score by a neck in the colours of the Old Misfits Syndicate.

Rothwell wasn't present and winning jockey Tiernan Power Roche, who was unseated when cantering back after the race, was unavailable for comment as he hurried to weigh in.
