Henry de Bromhead is optimistic of a bold performance from Special Tiara when he takes on Sire De Grugy in the bet365 Celebration Chase at Sandown on Saturday.

The Grade One winner is the second-highest rated horse in the Grade One field, but was beaten a little over 15 lengths into sixth by Gary Moore's star in the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.

De Bromhead said: "He's in good form and hopefully he'll run a good race. I think they are calling the ground good to soft.

"I think there is a bit more rain forecast, but hopefully they don't get too much.

"Sire De Grugy will be hard to beat and if our horse could finish second to him, we'd obviously be delighted."

Moore believes "everything looks ideal" for last year's winner Sire De Grugy as he tries to sign off his spectacular campaign in style.

The handler said: "I couldn't be happier with him at the moment and thankfully it looks like the ground should be fine for him. They are calling the ground good to soft, so it should be softer than when he won the race last year. It looks like there's loads of pace in the race. I can see three possible front-runners, which is perfect.

"Everything looks ideal as far as I'm concerned, so we're looking forward to it.
