Tidal Bay runs in Scottish Grand National Paul Nicholls has confirmed Tidal Bay as an intended runner in Saturday's Coral Scottish Grand National at Ayr. The 13-year-old unseated his rider at the eighth fence (the canal turn) in the Grand National at Aintree last week and is set to make a swift return after pleasing his handler in a schooling session this morning. Nicholls tweeted: "Tidal Bay just schooled well and runs Saturday at Ayr."
