Tillerman to wait for fast ground

Tillerman will run 'wherever the ground is fast' after finding conditions too soft at Newmarket on Thursday.

The son of In The Wings was never able to land a blow behind Minardi in the Darley July Cup but has returned to Amanda Perrett`s stable in good heart.

'He`s come back fine and we`ll be looking at races wherever the ground is fast,' said the trainer`s husband, Mark.

'We knew all along it was going to be on the soft side for him at Newmarket - he needs it to be like the M4, it`s always been the way.

'Whenever he`s run below-par in the past it`s been because of the ground so that`s the most important thing for him.'
