Tim Toe looks a useful prospect on debut Tim Toe got his career off to the perfect start when making an impressive winning debut in the www.thurlesraces.ie (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race. The Joshua Tree gelding had to be switched right in the straight to get a clear run but soon quickened up to strike the front over a furlong out. The 8/1 (from 12/1) chance kept on strongly under David Doyle to beat Eagle Of Destiny by a length and three-quarters with 13/8 favourite Galileo Sand a further three and a quarter lengths back in third. Winning trainer Pat Doyle said, "He is a very smart horse and had been showing us that the whole time. He was too pacey and probably hadn't enough height to go point to pointing so we decided to wait for a bumper. "He is big enough though, has always been showing a lot of gears and is a very good horse. It's only now I have him ready and I'm sure he'll handle bad ground as well. "Roger O'Byrne is a wonderful owner of mine, he's in America and we've had an awful lot of luck together. He will get serious excitement out of that." Quotes by Tom Weekes
