Timandi gets off the mark in Tramore opener The Tote-sponsored claimer over over a mile and a-half got proceedings under way at Tramore ad it resulted in a first win for James Barrett's Timandi.  Unplaced in 14 previous starts, but a creditable fourth in a similar contest at Limerick last month, the daughter of Camacho closed on the leaders running down into the dip and led a furlong out to beat 2/1 favourite Plontier by four and three-quarter lengths.  The winner, owned by Tim Brosnan in partnership with John and Nicola Griffin, was well backed at bigger prices this morning before being returned at 5/2. Rider Luke McAteer reported  "It rode a moderate enough race and our plan was to make the running, but she didn't jump. "I went to Plan B but I  was actually very confident after I missed the break as, watching them going down the hill first time around, the others looked big horses and awkward. I had to ride a waiting race, but my filly's size helped me more than the others.  "She has done it well, but has a mark of 55 and isn't much better, although hopefully she can improve."
