In-form Timurshah (11/4f) made every yard in the Crawford Tiles And More Handicap Hurdle to follow up on his Clonmel success last Friday evening.

The mandatory 7lb penalty didn't inconvenience him as he dictated throughout for Conor Smithers and was still tanking along after three out.

He really began to increase the pressure on the field after the next, but Granlahan came out of the pack in pursuit.

Timurshah had a reduced lead at the last but jumped it better than Granlahan and stayed on along the short run-in. Glin Road Boy (22/1) made late gains to get up for second, but Timurshah had flown by four lengths. Granlahan (20/1) was a head behind the runner-up while Theanniversary Man completed the placings in fourth at 18/1.

Smithers said: "I would have loved a lead, but I got a flyer of a start. He lobbed along in front and jumped well. I thought I was going too steady, but they couldn't get to him and he was idling in front.

"He got a lot of confidence from his last win and whatever Aidan (Melia, trainer) has done with him, he's really turned the corner now.

"Going into a better grade might help him, because he could take a lead.

"He doesn't mind a bit of cut in the ground, but he has a few gears too, which he can use on good ground. Stepping up in trip wouldn't be an issue either."

Timurshah won another 0-100 handicap hurdle by six lengths in Clonmel.
