Tina's Indian takes advantage of good opportunity for Fahey & Whelan Tina’s Indian added to a maiden win here last year when landing odds of 1/2 in the WTW Willis Race at the Curragh. The Mark Fahey-trained gelding was prominent throughout but was joined by Senna’s Girl inside the final furlong. They were locked in battle before Ronan Whelan’s mount just proved the stronger in the closing stages to score by a neck. The pair pulled six and a half lengths clear of I Am Superman in third. Fahey said, “It was a good opportunity for the horse on ratings. We got a little bit anxious there for a minute. “Ronan was good on him and let him stride on. I thought Diego (Dias)’s horse was coming there to do us but to be fair to the horse he did pick up. He won well enough at the line. “After the gelding operation he seems to be going a lot better. Whether we chance the all-weather or not we don’t know, but we’ll have that discussion with Ronan.”
