Tingle Creek meeting goes ahead This afternoon's high-profile meeting at Sandown goes ahead after officials brought forward their scheduled 7.30am precautionary inspection. Clerk of the course Andrew Cooper announced the check during racing on Friday due to the possibility of further rain overnight, but he is pleased to report conditions remain raceable. "We were looking at the track at around 6am and we were pleased to see that the rain had already passed through and had eased off here around 3am," said Cooper. "We have only had four millimetres of rain, which was the bottom end of what we were expecting, so it was an easy one to call and is obviously very good news. "We've decided to call the chase course soft at the moment, while the going on the hurdles track is heavy." The feature of this afternoon's action is the Grade One Keith Prowse Hospitality Tingle Creek Chase at 2.25.
