Tisamystery rewarded his connections for a short head defeat by a stablemate when landing the Packie Downey Memorial Handicap Chase at Tipperary today, for trainer Henry De Bromhead and owner John Byrne.

The son of Definite Article jumped to the front with an untidy jump at the last fence before staying on well on the run-in for a two lengths win over Lilly The Lioness

Tisamystery had be touched off by stablemate Beckwith Star at Wexford last month and following today's win De Bromhead later stated "he was just pipped by another of ours the last day but John (Byrne, owner) took it very well and I'm delighted for him today.

"He (Tisamystery) loves a lead Andrew gave him a great ride. He was in front a little soon the last day but that is in hindsight and the bigger the fence the better for him."
