Tony Mullins dreaming of big days with Brown Lad winner Tony Mullins has ‘big dreams’ for Letos (7s - 11/1), as the longterm chasing-prospect justified his trainer’s faith in him by winning Naas’ featured Listed SIS Brown Lad Handicap Hurdle today, under son Danny Mullins. Racing behind the leaders, five-year-old Letos improved to lead at the last and stayed on well to score by a length-and-a-half from The Nagger Reidy . The 14-runner race also featured leading chaser Spillane's Tower's (6/5f) return to action, but having travelled well, he faded tamely in the home straight. Regarding his well touted French-import, popular part-time pundit Mullins mentioned “I said on Attheraces about a month ago that this was the plan, and I think there is more to come. I also said to the owner before the race that he has to win this to be the real one, which I believe he is. “He’s only five, is a huge horse and he might bring us to where we dream of going.” He added “he seems to be just a natural jumper, he’s already run over fences in Auteuil which has given him an eye for where to put his feet and Danny said he did everything perfect today, only he idled when getting to the front. “He’s nearly 17.2hh and he’s only five. I have big dreams, but we don’t know where we’re going because he’s also handicapped over fences.” He expanded “he could go for the Coral Cup or the Pertemps but we’ll have to discuss that. I ride him out myself at home and he feels like a horse that wants three miles. We’re just hoping to get something nice along the way, but our eventual plan is chasing and that’s where I’d have the real big dreams.” Quotes from Gary Carson
