Toronado tip top for Mile assault Toronado is reported to be in tip-top shape for his assault on the Breeders' Cup Mile at Santa Anita on Saturday. The Richard Hannon-trained four-year-old showed his well-being in a piece of educational work on the track on Tuesday morning in the hands of Sean Levey. Harry Herbert, racing advisor for owners Al Shaqab Racing, said: "He's in great form. Sean said he feels great. "He's been an amazing horse and he's developed physically into a great beast of a horse and has a great mind on him, which should help him adapt to conditions. "We're delighted he's got a favourable draw (five), but he still needs to get out and hold his position. "The fact he has been lightly raced this year can only be an advantage." Toronado has had just the three starts in 2014, making a successful reappearance in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot and finishing second in both the Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood and the Prix du Moulin at Longchamp.
