Tote Chief Executive to leave Tote Ireland Alexis Murphy, Chief Executive, Tote Ireland is to leave Tote Ireland to take up the position of Director – International Betting and Gaming with International Investment and Underwriting, the private equity company. He will leave Tote Ireland to take up his new position at the beginning of April. Brian Kavanagh, Chief Executive of Tote Ireland’s parent company, Horse Racing Ireland said, “This is a significant opportunity for Alexis and I wish him every success. Alexis has been with Tote Ireland since June 2005 and in that time has made a very significant impact, implementing many positive changes. While it is a difficult time for the Tote, the work which Alexis has done leaves it in a strong position to benefit from future growth.” Alexis Murphy said “I have enjoyed every minute of working for the Tote, but I felt that after five years with the Company the time was right to take up a new challenge. The Tote has a great team of people behind it and a clear strategy going forward. It is with regret that I leave, but I believe the company is well positioned to thrive as the economy stabilises.”
