Traffic warning for Thurles racegoers

Racegoers heading to Thurles this afternoon are advised to take Junction 6 (Horse and Jockey) off the motorway.

Thurles town is encountering problems due to roadworks and major delays are expected.

The opening race on a seven-race card gets underway at 1.40pm.

The going has changed slightly after some light rain overnight and this morning.

The hurdle course is currently soft to heavy (soft in places), while the chase course is soft (soft to heavy in places.
