I C Gold brought up Gordon Elliott and Paul Carberry's treble at Downpatrick in good style in the two mile seven handicap hurdle. Preswell Lad was sent off the 11/4 favourite, however, he was pulled up shortly after jumping the fourth last. He was examined and found to be lame post-race.

I C Gold raced in rear before moving into contention at the third last. She was second at the penultimate hurdle and travelled well as she threw down her challenge before the last. She got her head in front on the run-in and kept on to win by a length and three parts at 10/3.

Gambled-on Lucky Pigeon was headed by the winner on the run-in and had to settle for second at 6/1. She was available at 14s in the morning. She was 26 lengths in front of third-placed Toca Deed (7/1).

Gordon Elliott said: "It's a good day! That's the most important winner as it was for Sean Gallagher who was one of my earliest patrons. I thought she would win and she'll win again. She's in at Kilbeggan on Friday."
