The Sam Curling-trained Miners Bridge completes a hat trick as he wins the STL Logistics Handicap Chase over two miles and three furlongs at Limerick.

Up a total of 15 lbs for two consecutive wins at Killarney and Sligo, the Mahler gelding was now stepped back down two furlongs in trip for this engagement.

The 11/4 favourite settled in third before making his challenge and moving past the long-time leader He's Gorgeous (7/1) at the second last. Owned by the CKC Syndicate, the nine-year-old was kept up to his work by Philip Enright to beat the rallying El Champo (11/1) by a length.

Sam Curling acknowledged, "this race has been my plan for a good while, if we were able to get him into it, as he has always had a lot of ability. He is coming together but that ground is as quick as he wants, so hopefully he'll be alright tomorrow.

"I'll target a decent handicap chase in the spring now, and

he might sneak into the 2m4f novice handicap chase at Cheltenham in March. He could first go to Leopardstown over Christmas, so we'll see.

"The lads (Ross Keohane and jockey-valets Mike and Liam Cleary) have stuck by him, as he has had many problems, and there is never any hassle with them. I'm delighted for them."
