Trainer Ado McGuinness plans to run smart stayer Tribal Star in the Chester Cup at the Cheshire racecourse next month.

Formerly in the care of Charlie Appleby, the five-year-old has won twice since joining the Dublin based trainer.

McGuinness said: "He's going to Chester, definitely.

"We are going to go to Chester and then Newcastle again (Northumberland Plate).

"I think we have two or three we can run that day in Chester including a couple owned by the Dooley lads. It is a great day out and you would recommend it to anyone to go to. They will have a good day."

Tribal Star is entered in the Class 2 Ladbrokes Chester Cup next month and was fourth in the Northumberland Plate last year.
