Trip no problem for Glory says Murtagh Johnny Murtagh does not believe the drop in trip will inconvenience Fame And Glory as he bids to bounce back to form in the Emirates Airline Champion Stakes. The Montjeu colt has had the misfortune of bumping into the brilliant Sea The Stars in all but one of his starts in Group One company this season and the only time John Oxx's charge was not in attendance, Fame And Glory trounced his rivals in the Irish Derby. The Ballydoyle inmate had to go down as a slight disappointment when only sixth in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe less than a fortnight ago but Murtagh is confident of a better showing at Newmarket on Saturday. "He's in good form and I'm looking forward to it," said Murtagh. "The Arc wasn't really run to suit him as they went slow, but he has been fine since and we are happy with him. "I don't think the drop back to a mile and a quarter will be a problem. His best performance of the year was when he was second to Sea The Stars in the Irish Champion Stakes, so it should be fine. "The ground should be fine for him as he goes on most ground and he's pretty straightforward."
