Troytown not likely for Rich Revival Trainer Liz Doyle has one eye on Aintree early next month after all but ruling Rich Revival out of the Ladbrokes Troytown Handicap Chase at Navan on Sunday because the ground is likely to be unsuitable. The unlikely prospect of soft ground at the weekend means Rich Revival could make his seasonal debut in the Betfred Becher Handicap Chase at the Liverpool course on December 7 - as long as there is plenty of rain in the meantime. Rich Revival made a fine start to his career over fences last term, winning his first three races before being pulled up in the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse in April. Doyle said: "It's looking more unlikely than likely he will run on Sunday. The ground has gone yielding there and he has to have soft in it somewhere. "There's no rain forecast and the race is not until Sunday so at the moment he'd be highly unlikely to run. "He is in the Becher Chase but he is a soft-ground horse so whether there will be enough cut in the ground in a couple of weeks time for that I don't know. "He's in good order and he always goes well fresh so I want to give him a crack at something good first time. "He won his bumper first time out and a beginners' chase first time last year so it would be nice to get him while he's fresh. He runs really well first time out so I don't want to waste it on a hurdle race or anything like that. "I want to have a crack at something nice, so we'll see what the ground is like at Aintree in a couple of weeks as he'd be doubtful for Sunday because of the ground."
