Tubberfinn Lady appreciates good ground to open her account Tubberfinn Lady landed some nice wagers when opening her account in division two of the Follow Kilbeggan On Instagram Handicap Hurdle. The Mick Mulvany-trained mare hadn’t troubled the judge in six previous outings over hurdles but having been available at 50/1 overnight (prior to some non-runners), was backed on track from 10/1 into 11/2. Jordan Gainford gave her a patient ride before making headway on the outer to lead approaching the straight. She was driven out on the run-in and kept on well to beat My Policy by three and a half lengths with Jolie Cosmos a further half a length back in third. Mulvany said, “We were waiting on some nice ground for her and were hoping for a good run. “I’m not sure where we’ll go after this but it’s nice to get a win for her and a new owner for us.”
