Tubberfinn Lady landed some nice wagers when opening her account in division two of the Follow Kilbeggan On Instagram Handicap Hurdle.

The Mick Mulvany-trained mare hadn’t troubled the judge in six previous outings over hurdles but having been available at 50/1 overnight (prior to some non-runners), was backed on track from 10/1 into 11/2.

Jordan Gainford gave her a patient ride before making headway on the outer to lead approaching the straight.

She was driven out on the run-in and kept on well to beat My Policy by three and a half lengths with Jolie Cosmos a further half a length back in third.

Mulvany said, “We were waiting on some nice ground for her and were hoping for a good run.

“I’m not sure where we’ll go after this but it’s nice to get a win for her and a new owner for us.”
